Tom,
Go to Marv's mail list home page (http://www.lancaironline.net/maillist.html),
then click on "Fuel Related", and get Bob Jude's schematics. He uses the
adjustable setpoints on the switches in the fuel probe to switch
the facet pumps. Has a manual override in case the sensor craps out
also. I believe Bob had his set to come on at 50% and shut off at 90% of
full scale indication.
The hard part is going to be finding the
Skysports fuel probes he used. The internal switches appear to have
been a special order item. Skysports has been sold to ACS, so you may
want to call them and find out if these switches are still available if you
decide to explore this route..

Subject: [LML] Automatic header tank
feeder
My 360 is getting ready for some repairs that includes
fixing defective fuel gauges and recalibrating my totalizer. While I’m at it,
I’d like to add a switching device that would read the header tank level and
automatically activate the fuel transfer pumps when the header tank level
drops below, say, 4 gallons and then shuts it off at a header tank reading of
about 9 gallons. I saw a 2 ¼” display for such a unit on a friend’s Lancair,
but he couldn’t recall where he got if from and doubted they were still
available. Does anyone know if they are or what other options might be
available? Thanks for any thoughts on this.
