I noted on the leadingedgeaircraft.com that they are claiming 4000 hour bulb life. Are these the same as can be purchased from Lancair?  I have replaced bulbs three times in the last 150 hours and am concerned that they won't be working when I need them.  Mine are mounted in the cowl inlets of my IV and give plenty of light when they are functioning but I am about to scrap them due to short bulb life.

I used motorcycle driving lights.  They have a nice streamlined chrome
bucket that is much nicer looking than the leadingedge light.  They use the
same bulb and cost about $120.  Craig Schulze

Happy flyings .
