I've been the Guinna pig on a whole lot of projects that I have done in my career endeavours. Being tired (no pun intended) of being a Guinna pig in general, and, since there has not been anybody using recaps, this shows me, empirically, that recapped main tires have not been proven to be a good solution on the Legacy. I've decided not to go the route of recaps. What prompted the request is the fact that I am in partnership with my neighbor on a Russian Yak 18T. We recapped the mains on that plane because that is what the previous owner did. Apparently recapped tires have a harder rubber and wear better. Anyway, thought I'd pass along my thoughts. In this economy maybe my thoughts are worth $0.01 verses the normal $0.02.
