Thank you Greyhawk for pointing this out. We had not heard of the certified aircraft batteries but after searching through our system for the model number you identified (SBSJ-16) from the Odyssey website we found it. They are about two to three weeks out and will be offered through Fibercraft Inc. at a price of $158.95 each plus shipping. They are currently approved for use on the PA-18 and PA-19 only, installation on other certified aircraft will require a local FAA field certification. This battery is the exact same thing as the PC-680 except for the label and paperwork.

Are Odyssey batteries aproved for any certified planes?  If so, I would love to change my Piper.
