What your test period will be depends on what your op limits say. The most recent op limits should say that you have to notify the FSDO and do 5 hours in Phase I. Some older ops limits don't address major changes at all. Some say no major changes. The new ops limits are pretty easy to live with. If there's something in your current limits that says you have to do 25 hours, you can have the FSDO issue a new set that says 5 hours.
