I’d like to thank everyone on the list who replied to
my request for information about flying to the Bahamas. I wish I had
written to everyone separately, but I’m now paying for the time I took
away from the office.
On December 26th the wife and I flew our 360 from
Chapel Hill, NC to Ft. Pierce to Congo Town Bahamas. We reversed the
flight on Saturday the 2nd.
The trip was great. The island was remote, beautiful,
sunny and relaxing. The flying part was a breeze. Getting
everything in the plane, and keeping to weight restrictions was the only real
challenge! Including life-preservers, safety gear, snorkeling gear,
clothes and a BOX of wine, we had 50 lbs of bags.
Only real challenges were trying to find somewhere on this
little plane to put 12” letters, getting the radio licenses in time, and
fumbling through the eAPIS system.
Next time it will be even easier. Everyone who loves
crystal clear water should go sometime!
