Concerning Gary’s comment about dissolved water in fuel.  Several careers back, I worked for a petrochemical supplier.  We found high speed pumps would emulsify water in some products similar to gasoline.  If enough water was present, the product would be milky in appearance.  So, contrary to popular belief, oil based products and water will mix.
