I don't know if I can answer the question the way it is ask but here is a try.

Because I have a header tank (11 gal), I always fill it up. This lets me know exactly how much fuel that I have. If I started with 30 minutes of fuel in the header tank that should equate to 4.0 gal at 8 gal/hr. First I would fill the header with 7.0 gal. Next, I like to land with 9 or 10 gal (1:15 hr) in the header tank so that I can fill it up on my next flight. For such a short trip I would fuel for both directions or 1 hour or 8 gal. I also think that landing with 9 gal would be safe. So the total fuel on board when I take off should be 17 gal. This means adding 7.0 gal to the header and 6.0 gal to the right wing. At the 8 gal/hr standard burn this would come out to 13 gal or 13/8 = 97.5 minutes.

There it is. Final answer = 97.5 minutes.

There is 30min of fuel in your plane.
You wanta meet your friends for lunch on this stunning VFR day.
You don't have any planned flights for the next few weeks.
The lunch stop's gas is the same price as as at your home field.
The lunch stop's runway is 5,000 at sea level.
The flight time to lunch is 30mins

How many mins of fuel do you add to your tanks for the flight?
