Must have been the Sun 'N Heat in combination with the smell of burning Castrol oil from the WWI Spad! Or possibly the beautiful lines and throaty sound of the of the L2K! Face it, I sat in it and the "new plane smell" permeated my brain, changed forever as it were, and I reached for my check book and placed a deposit. Actually, all BS/semantics aside, I realized that I was one of the lonely owners of the tri-split kit. MKII HS/elevator/trim tab complete and resting in the cradle; the incomplete vertical stab hanging on the garage wall as a reminder of what could be; no more parts in hand; and nothing else to work on (lest I start sanding on the HS). So, there you have it. Either convert my carbon fiber MKII HS to a fancy black surfboard, or get on with the program and commit to putting it on a L2K, especially since it is the only part that will fit. Most of you probably know that the 320/360 is not being produced anymore, thus basically eliminating that option (order the remaining 2 parts of the tri-split, wings and fuselage). I like to optimistically think that my procrastination may ultimately turn out to be a good thing ... Anyway, Marv and I were talking at the Lancair crawfish boil during Sun 'N Fun, and he suggested that the L2K builders (depositors I should say) begin some dialogue and start thinking ahead about "fast packs". For now at least, I'm curious as to how many L2K depositors are out there in LML land - please respond if you don't mind ...??? Dana Westphal L2K (still wondering how I'm gonna pay for it; where are you NASDAQ ???!!!) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
