What that means is if you have a break in the connection and have connectors to mate the sections, the connectors may have shielding problems that will let the RFI get into the transmission or reception path. Be careful when you make up your cables and ensure that your coax shield is sound on each end and you should not have a problem. On the other hand, if your antenna is pretty close to other electrical lines you could get noise to enter the path that way. Alternators are inherently noisy.
