I have a TemperPedic mattress and am extremely satisfied with the properties
of the product. Several months ago, the company came out withe car overnight when it is cold. This may warrant evaluation before
ordering the product.
In my opinion though, the "full body" support that should be provided by the
memory foam should be well worth the minor inconvenience of a "hard" seat
for a few minutes until one's body heat softens the foam.>

The foam comes in 3 sizes. 1 inch, 2 inch and 3 inch. I have the 3 inch foam in my plane. The 3 inch size has 1 inch each of soft, medium and hard layers.
It is HARD when it is cold. I like it a lot.
