Lots of other potential causes, including a failing regulator, but a loose ground will do this every time if you have any of the B&C regulators with overvoltage protection built in, and it's the cheapest (not necessarily the easiest) to find and fix. In the past, occasionally, this CB will pop out write after I start the engine and that would be it. Anybody on the list have had a similar problem with the Alt Field popping out? Please advise.
