Obviously this is a terrible accident, after the dust settles I would really like to know more about the pilot and his experience in this make and model and other facts of the accident so we can learn and avoid this in the future..

was a 360 MK-II. Beauty too. Just finished its test flights
in may. One of the nicest built 360s id seen. Had legacy
cowlings and some other nice innovations on it.  The pilot

CLARITA, Calif. - Authorities say both people aboard an
experimental  airplane have died when it crashed in northern
Los Angeles County.Federal Aviation Administration
spokesman Ian Gregor says the single-engine  Lancair crashed
Saturday in a farming community in Santa
Clarita.Coroner's investigator Jerry McKibben
says 43-year-old Ronald Ira Weiss of  Los Angeles was killed
in the crash. The other man's name has not been released.Gregor says the homebuilt aircraft, which
was red and white with the words  "rock 'n'
roll" painted on the side, was registered to
Weiss.It was not immediately clear where the flight
originated or where it was  headed.The FAA and the
National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause.
