I = do not believe the short one would work. There is so little room to = work with the short one. The cowl will need to be modified as the engine is wider. I gave up on = modifying mine as the quality of the original is not good to start with = and it was a real mess after I had hacked it around. Length is longer = but if you are modifying it for width it is easy to do the length. I = had a professional do me a new mold and produce a cowling, top and = bottom. I was so fed up with my own efforts. I still have the molds. I have a forward facing fuel injection unit and I chose not to use the = combustion air inlet under cowl. My bottom cowl is therefore smooth. = The air inlet/filter is in the left hand cooling air entry, like a = Piper. The hardest job I did when building the plane was getting that = adjectival cowling to fit. Good luck Ian B.
