Hi Grayhawk,
I'm fast-taxiing up to 'hops', and yesterday felt nosewheel shimmy, not violent but persistent, and not related to the brakes on the  mains.
Yesterday I pulled the nosewheel and checked things.
The wheel needed 1.5 oz. of lead inside the rim to balance.
The strut is ESCO.
The strut does not center- lock when the shaft is fully extended.
There seems to be adequate anti-torque -- less in the center +/- 5 degree range.
I read through the 246 Archive posts on nosewheel-shimmy, including some of yours, yesterday, and reduced the nosewheel psi form 35 to 28.
May I ask for any additional info or checks you might suggest?
