I spent 3 years in experimental flight test and did no damage and my replacement did two engines (expensive) in the first year. This is how, I found out how expensive a prop strike can be. He was in a hurry and hit a snow bank that was supposed to be loose snow. You definitely don't want a prop strike (even minor) in a turboprop as it really increases the cost of operation.
