I'm having a machinist friend of mine make a 2-part fitting with a small control horn that will clamp onto the Legacy flap torque tube to provide a connection point (via small hobby store clevis and pushrod) to the Ray Allen position sensor. I know most guys have come up with their own pretty cool ways of doing this, but since most of us want flap position in the cockpit, I thought it might be nice if their was a an actual part for that purpose.
If any of you guys would be interested in having one, I'll have more made. Cost will depend on how many are made. Lancair sells a one piece version of this clamp for the ES for $40, but it won't slip on the Legacy torque tubes due to the fittings and flanges on both ends of the tubes. I would guess this 2-part clamp would be priced less than $40.
If anybody is interested, let me know off-list.
