Just got a quote from Alcoa (the owners of Fairchild Fasteners).  You don’t want to see it.

 

We definitely need to do a group purchase.

 

BTW:  Regarding cowling fasteners….why the 1820-2 stud nuts for the cowling?   The grip range on those seems to be between .251 and .343.  If guys are using the -2’s it would mean the cowling surfaces mated together are ¼ thick or greater.  Do they really get that thick after paint?  From my measurements of my cowl, the -1’s are in the right range.  Am I missing something?
