I do not believe that all Lancairs are lumped together. Our ES was recently

renewed  by AIG in October and the rate actually went down. Both Ron and I
are "high total time" but low on time in model. We also took advantage of the Technically Advanced Aircraft discount program that AIG has. That alone
accounts for a 10% discount. I believe that having a Lancair initially biases the
underwriters in a negative direction, but feel that they do look at a lot of other
factors. Having and ES is clearly one of those factors. The broker also has a lot to do
with this process.
