It appears that the forward one is located deeper in the sump and looks like it would do a better job of getting you every ounce of consumable fuel. Also it would seem that when any one unports you could suck air into the fuel system. I know fuel systems have been covered many times but I haven't seen any post on a single header tank outlet.
