The aerodynamic balance section is not large enough to allow even an 80% balance using lead shot/epoxy slurry. Required 5.2 lbs. I could only get 2.3 lbs. of slurry in the available area and much of it was too near the hinge point to provide an effective arm. I talked to Lancair and they said to form a lead plug, attach it to the leading edge of the aerodynamic balance, apply 3 BID over and cut out the vertical stabilizer as required for clearance.
