Dear friends,

Thanks this is interesting but It is very fake.  I received it first from a German friend. I googled the name on the airplane and it is Killathrill it appears to be a German company who has made some other fake Videos. Look at
This is their website and they have apparently used this video in advertising in Europe and someone cut off the commercial message and implied that this was a real event.  They made many mistakes in the video I have sent out emails listing most of the errors. As a short sample the wing was portrayed as if it was cut off with scissors with no trailing parts, electrical wiring, or even cables. The airplane rolled the wrong way after the wing left the airplane, the lift from the remaining wing should have made it roll to the right. Knife edge flight is possible but the speed required to not loose control is much higher, but in the video the airplanes landing roll was very short indicating a low touch down speed.
And there are many more flaws but enough it is an interesting video and like Hollywood action films, very little reality.

Thanks for the interesting video but.....

How about this one! Looks pretty real to me, even if it is a model.

Jeff,

I was kidding... but given enough horsepower verses weight and a big enough rudder and elevator maybe it can happen.

I have seen prop. planes hover standing straight up. Although I'm not trying it.

I guess the best bet is to try it on a model plane first.

Lynn,

Yes looking at it later, I can see how it is pieced together.

But I am sure, if anyone had to really do that maneuver, you could!.

Kevin,

I do believe there is an R/C plane involved in this pieced together video.

I can't believe this!

Says allot for "fly the plane first".
