AIG has no financial difficulties. AIG Insurance has always been VERY well funded. AIG parent is now the best funded of any corporation (our tax money). I had lunch with some AIG Insurance folks on Tuesday. They are very nice and good at what they do. They are not having a good time insuring 4's, 4P's and 4PT's and I'd suggest that's why they are dropping the coverage. Not going to renew Joe, I went through Falcon Insurance (EAA program) and they placed me with Global Aerospace for my builders' coverage, and now my flying coverage. I have an ES, and given some of the stitches I ended up requiring, I can't see how any kit could be more dangerous ;). My guess is AIG is retracting given they much published financial difficulties.
