Lorn,

If you need 80 kts to get the nosewheel off the ground, sounds like you've got an elevator travel problem. Not necessarily a trim problem. Are you able to get the book specified deflection?

You, Scott & I all have the Rachel trim system and short tails. From
the photos that you and Scott sent me, it appears that you have about
12" from the front to the back of your springs. Scott has 9.125" and I
have 7". You seem to have the best trim range, scott the next best and
me the worst. I need about 80 kts to get the nose off the ground.

I'm beginning to see what seems to be the problem. I need to increase
my spring range. I'll let the list know what happens when I am done.

Lorn
