I did= my initial training with Skip Holm.=A0 For those of you that don't know wh= o he is,=A0I would say "qualified" doesn't exactly cover it.=A0 Skunkworks = test pilot, Top Gun Instructor, yadda yadda...=A0=A0 Skip had the controls = for about, oh,=A0 1 minute.=A0 During that time he did some very basic turn= s, slowing to 85 mph indicated in a 90 degree bank.=A0=A0Once leveled out h= e pushed the rudder back and forth a couple times.=A0 After this quick eval= uation he looked me square in the eyes and in a serious Skip Holm manner sa= id, "Don't Spin It".=A0 We didn't slow below 100 mph the rest of the flight= .=0A=0ANot saying he is correct, or I am correct, but I am not going to tak= e this Lancair near a stall/spin, period.=0A=0ATom McNerney=0AN54SG=A0 =0A5= 0 hours on me and counting..
