At Reno this year I was looking at the combined
static-pitot tube that is used on the Pitts biplanes. I made my own, but if I
had it to do over, I would definitely use this combo unit available from ACS for
about $130. Fuselage static ports are a big source of error in IAS, especially
on the RVs I've tested which give 8 mph to 12 mph high readings. The fuselage
ports on Oscar's L235 and my L235 gave 4 mph slow readings until
we corrected them by adding about 3-4 ply of tranparent tape ahead of
them.
