I did not build the wings. When one of the wing probes quit working, I found out that the capacitance fuel probes were BONDED in the ribs. A plastic guide tube was NOT used. It is really not that formidable of a project and can be done by a couple of people in a few days. However, you really need to have someone who knows what they are doing. We ripped the old probes out, cut four(?) access holes in the bottom of each wing large enough to get your hand through. We then bonded in a plastic guide tubes for the probes and then patched the access holes up using a method similar to that described by Brent Reagan a few months ago. The repair is not visible, and has work flawlessly for 5+ years and 500+ hours.
