The stock glare shield doesn't even fit the old style hump panel correctly.

Check with Legacy Innovations  http://www.legacy-innovations.com/  They have
a glare shield for their flat panel, but since you didn't state where you
bought your "new style" flat panel, I'm not sure if the Legacy Innovations
new style glare shield will fit your panel perfectly, but it would at least
be closer requiring less adaptation.

I installed tbe new style flat panel, without the radio stack hump, in my
Legacy. The one that comes with the kit is the hump style, so I need to
rework it or start from scratch. Does anybody have a recommendation or
