Perhaps you departed for Brazil a bit too early. Hot CHTs: 1. New engine? (break in friction) 2. Spark Timing? 3. Mixture management? 4. Poor/incorrect baffle seals? 5. Oil Temp? (oil provides for at least 1/3rd of cooling) Speed and Elevator Position at Cruise: 1. Where was the CG? 2. Flaps in full reflex? (they must be in full reflex for cruise, both for pitch trim and drag reduction). Left Wing Heavy: 1. Re-rigging the flaps can correct for builder error in symmetry. Just make sure the flaps go down at the same rate. 2. Rudder not trimmed properly in cruise. Did you try to step on the ball to level the wings? 3. Pilot weight is balanced by about 4 more gals of fuel in almost full right wing than quantiy in left wing. 4. Were you able to trim out the heavy wing with aileron trim? If so, where was each aileron positioned with respect to the wing tip and where was the ball? Didn't you get any training while you were in the US? Again, Good Luck. Try to find another Lancair builder (not just a flyer) in your country and have your plane looked over.
