At cruise settings, engines, fuel flow etc, it takes about 7 minutes of both Facet Pumps at a total of 0.7 gal /min to fill the 12 gal header with 5 gal, usually I pump the header from a sight guage reading of 5 gal to 10. My O-320 burns 7.5 gal/hr at cruise. At a low reading of 5 gal, I've got 30 min or so of flight if both pumps failed at the same time plus the altitude to increase my range. I use a visual sight gauge on the header, no fuel measuring instruments except an idot light on the header at 11.5 gal to keep from going overboard. The Facet pumps have pumped consistant rates. Both pumps go through individual sight guages, so I know when the tanks are empty, right at 43 minutes pumping time. I adhere to the KISS principal.. Don Skeele A&P N320J
