Andy,
I went through this same thing last year.  An outfit in Florida sold me the
Hytron hose.
It was $1.60 per ft or so and was quite difficult to work with.  Get some
extra for practice.
I found them on the internet.  The Hytron hose is much lighter than steel
braid and takes much tighter bends too.
I can't find their name right now but I'll keep looking.

Subject: [LML] Hydraulic fittings...

I am in the process of replacing the hydraulic hoses on my Lancair360...
I'd like to retain the fittings and simply disassemble the hoses, use
new hose, and reassemble everything. My fittings all seem to be in fine
shape and reusable.
I've got the BU-03 fittings and the Hytron HR303 hose. I can't seem to
find the Hytron (now Dayco) hose and Lancair wants me to by all new
fittings and hose... $$$  Are these  BU-03 fittings compatible with the
Aeroquip 303 hose or am I better off getting all new fittings too? Are
these BU03 fittings the same as an Aeroquip 491?

Thanks,
Andy Meyer
