Why do you want to cut 2" holes in the stainless?  I have a hole for the bolt, and that's all.  The stainless goes between the engine mount and the firewall.  I have two AN-970 washers between the stainless and the firewall where the bolt is -- I cut out the Fiberfrax, which was easy.
