I agree with Bob Smiley's comments. Even if you really do a good job,
likely the painter will still do a lot more work. I think if I had it to
do over again (never), I would get it close, but not shoot for perfection, and
leave the final bodywork to the painter or other bodywork professional.
Nothing's worse that doing a ton of work and still having to write a large check
for bodywork. But a bunch of us, me included, have gone down that
road.
