I have good news today--Mike DeHate, former Lancair factory Test Pilot, has notified me that he is now actively doing the thing he is best at--checking out newly-built planes, and performing the test, and giving new owners instruction in their plane.

Mike is a super nice guy, and was very helpful in getting me started in flying my plane in a safe manner.

He is located in Florida at this time, but I understand he may be migrating back to the western USA area in the near future.  His inspections are very detailed--if Mike says your airplane is airworthy--it is airworthy.   His instruction is equally good--he is a friendly, easy-going instructor, no-nonsense type, geared to us older guys who may take a little more time to get started.

I am sure he will do pre-closure inspections as well.
