I am sure we all religiously ground our airplanes to the fuel truck and
consider other such precautions. However, I can not fail to notice that no
precautions of any kind are taken when fueling automobiles. If cars were
blowing up left and right while fueling, I am sure we would have heard about
it.
What is the big difference between the automobile and aircraft environments
(even a metal one) that such precautions are "necessary" in aircrafts and not
needed in automobiles?
