Dear Friends and fellow builders,

I am happy to report that our Lancair IV-P, N437RP, first took to the air
early yesterday morning under the capable and steady hand of Bill Harrelson,
a Lancair -320 and -IV builder that many of you know. N437RP is a
conventional IV-P with a Performance Engines TSIO-550, MT 4-blade prop, and
air conditioning. Bill saw a couple of minor discrepancies during the 35
minute flight that were corrected in preparation for a second flight today
or tomorrow, but reports that the airplane flies well.

My most sincere thanks to the very many of you for your help and wise
counsel over the 8+ years of building, and especially to my Judy for her
help and encouragement during a significant portion of our lifes. See you at
Oshkosh...
