I think the installation manual specifically states "do NOT mount any transducer directly to the engine". I mounted mine to the engine mount and used adapters purchased from Fluid Air to connect copper tube with relief coils (much like auto installations). Attached the transducer to the engine mount with the appropriate sized Adel clamp.
