hmmm whilst we are all baring our souls and confessing-its happened to me twice...both occasions had a happy ending
The first was a couple of years ago when I was with an experienced instructor checking him out-he was in the left seat-a case of too much chatter and no clear pilot in command
The second was recently when I was hot and bothered and anxious to get off the ground-my fault entirely

I have a 360 and I have taken off with the canopy unlatched, went around landed and latched the canopy. Red face.....yes further damage......no and no control problems. Wife not impressed. My flying buddy managed to unlatch it in cruise, do not ask me how and he doesn't know either or will not admit it. Was on auto pilot and managed to relatch it. No control problems.
My ten cents worth. I feel better that Bill Harrelson did it! It excuses me a little due to my relative lack of experience and I do not feel so bad owning up to it!!!!!!!!!!
