Gosh, we do seem to go a lot of trouble to re-invent, don't we?  I have had a face cutter of the right diameter with a pilot for some time and it works just fine.  I don't remember whether I ordered it at a tool company or at an aviation supplier, nor do I remember what it cost, but I didn't spend hours inventing something to replace what already existed.  I hope that those who spend time re-inventing the wheel are counting that as "building time" on their projects.

I was particularly struck by the message from Rob Wolf.  I, too, am not building a "showplane".  I am building myself an airplane to fly.  I want it to be sound and workmanlike, but don't anticipate that it will be found in the judging area at any event.  It is fun, however, to hear what others are doing.  Thanks, Rob, I am with you.
