It was in the middle of a leg of the Airventure Cup Race actually. The fuel mixture floated to full rich and stayed there. After that, I rigged a spring on the mixture arm at the fuel control to insure it would go that way next time. I used a small coil tension spring and wrapped it around the shaft housing with one end on the arm and the other anchored to a convenient spot. Very simple.
