Besides the issue mentioned below, my 'damper' for not flying into SNF is the sandblasting treatment you receive if you are not fortunate enough to be parked on the hard surface [very limited parking area]. Aircraft are allowed to power taxi in and out of spaces and due to the sand and our smallish tires, it take a LOT of power to taxi resulting in heavy rear prop blast . There are several airports close with ample hard surface parking [Plant City and Bartow for examples] with prepurchase SNF admission tickets available. Some even provide a method of transportation to SNF for a small fee or they have rental cars if preferred [the waiting lines for them are much shorter than at SNF too]. Also remember that
access to your aircraft during the airshow is not allowed if you park in the normal homebuilt display areas.
I will never fly into SNF again. Earl [the questionable traffic pattern in and out is another issue]
