The other consideration I have is that there may be a need to remove the gear box in the future. Unless all the screws along the bottom are perpendicular that could be difficult. In my case they are definitely not, in fact some are angled enough that I might have to use self-aligning washers on some of the screws. My intention is to install the screws, put a little Partall in the Phillips crosses, then flox or micro with a layer of BID overall.
