Support had dwindled to practically nothing and I became convinced that JPI would not stand behind the product. I finally had to place a call to Jim Irwin at Aircraft Spruce. He made a call to JPI and I got some immediate but partial satisfaction, but I have zero confidence that JPI will provide you with support in the future, period. NO, you are not able to calibrate in the field. I removed all trace of my VM installation and replaced with the MVP-50 from Electronics International. Their reputation preceded them and their service and support are excellent. Good luck, Angier Ames N4ZQ Still building
