This panel included a VM1000 engine monitor system. I am being told by some that I should replace the VM1000 before I fly because Vision Microsystems' support of the product is questionable since being acquired by JPI. For those of you who now own a VM1000 I have these questions: 1. Do you find this to be the case? 2. Will I be able to successfully calibrate my VM1000 without support from Vision Microsystems? 3. Is there another engine monitor system (perhaps the JPI EDM 900) that will drop into my present panel cutout for the VM1000? I am getting closer to flying (possibly this summer), and don't want to be caught by surprise with an engine monitor I can't use. I also have the Vision Microsystems fuel gauge. Thank you in advance for any recommendations. John Kleber N83JK LEG2/G **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance.
