My deepest condolences to the families. According to news accounts it was
raining at the surface in the area at the time. If he was at 13,000 feet I would
assume he was above the freezing level.
Regards,
Jeff

According to local news reports an ES went down Friday
morning in Oregon between Salem and Albany (about 60 miles south of
Portland). The reports indicate there were three people on board; no
survivors. Those on board have been identified as owner/pilot Louis Jay
Lamb, Steven Teeney, and Riley Bunn. Based on pictures of the
aircraft it appears to be N329BW. One report stated there was a radar
return at 13,000 ft then the aircraft crashed a few minutes
later.
