I've been interested in the Thermawing- glad to hear it works well. Is it something that should be installed by RDD or could a builder install it without too much difficulty during construction?
Did you notice any change in the plane's performance?
Thanks- Bill Wade (downwind of you)

RDD in Redmond also did my de-ice installation and I am here to tell you it
works.
My wife even stopped reading her book to watch. We had an "out", so I let
the plane stay
in not ideal flying conditions for about 45 minutes and let the Thermawing
heaters do its
thing. During this time, since it was working so well, I could not tell if
it was working. So I turned it off.
It didn't take long to confirm it had definitely been working. I turned it
back on.
Although the installation took a little longer than planned, I believe RDD
did a great job, and
the people are fantastic. The install on an existing plane is not a simple
process but
those guys knew what they were doing and since I watched every part of the
install, I
was very, very impressed with their work. I hope I did not get in their
way.
