It is OK that the body is made out aluminum. Heck, the whole engine is aluminum. Just don't use aluminum hard line forward of the firewall. I made a flange for an Airflow Performance filter and turned it into a giant bulkhead fitting that penetrated the firewall. The flange epoxies to the mid line of the cylindrical filter body and had three #10 bolts to hold it to the firewall. It opens into the engine compartment and eliminates several fittings and connections. Very slick.
