I'd really like to place my 24v battery up front on the firewall instead of behind the pilot's seat.  I'd even consider adding some ballast in the tail if necessary for CG design.  I'm assuming the worst case forward CG is full fuel and single pilot. 

 

Has any one successfully mounted a 24v battery on the firewall in a Legacy RG with an IO550?
