Marv,
    brilliant idea!

I wonder if someone could educate me I should have a battery tender, especially with Odyssey batteries.
    Data points:
    - my cessna 172RG has an rG battery in it that has lasted 3 years, no problems, no tending.  OK.  it flies at least once a month every month.
    - my IVP has Odyssey batteries which have a shelf life of somewhere between 1 and 2 years.   Why would I worry about sulphating?
    - my old IVP battery was an expensive RG that sat in the closet for a year in someone else's shop.   It was completely trash after that.  I had a choice of buying a desulphating tender or for slightly less just buying Odyssey batteries that virtually don't have that problem.  Why would I buy a standard RG battery every again?
