My L-360 is not flying yet, but my gear
hydraulic system has been done for just about a year and tested often with no
problem, after I reversed my valve. My pressure is holding good for up to 6
to 8 hours with gears either up or down, tests in a
garage.
- At gear down selection, gears go down,
pressure is at 550psi....after 8 hours, pressure is at 470psi
- At gear up selection gears go up, pressure
is at 1,150psi.... after 8 hours, pressure is at 890psi
Could some one help me with this
question:
My pump does not chirp (and
re-pressurized) until pressure goes down to 450psi; and this is truth for both
when up or down is selected. When I have down gears selected, 450psi chirp
action is great, but if up is selected, I would like to see chirp action at
higher psi, perhaps 950psi.

I feel fortunate.
After reading several posts on the thread of the gear pump burping,
chirping, cycling, running, leaking, not operating (Lorn's picture made me
wince a bit), from other LNC2 pilots, I can report, that my
hydraulic gear system operates problem free with no burps,
chirps, cycling, or leaks, while in flight. Am I in the
minority?
I hope I haven't jinxed myself sending this post.
